According to the resources from Kanuni Sultan Süleyman’s period, there were 5 villages. Those villages are: Düzköy (Haçka), Çayırbağı (Sidiksa), Aykut (Horovi), Gürgendağ (Kalkiyu) and Çalköy (Çal). So this is proof of there were accommodation units in the area.
There are not much information about 17th and 18th centuries’ history about Düzköy. But when you consider the whole city’s history, incidents that effected the city also had an impact on the district.
